TIG welding course

TIG is for welding stainless steels and non-ferrous metals, as well as structural steel, aluminium and titanium.

Manual metal arc welding course

Plastics welding course

Gas pipelines, water supply, municipal landfills and chemical containers; certification to SIST EN 13067.

Flame welding course

Based on the combustion of oxygen and acetylene; used in the process industry.

Resistance welding course

Used in automated industry.

Brazing course

A process in which molten filler metal flows into the joint.

Dedicated welding courses

Training for welding specific products on specific materials, to the requirements of your production.

How does a welding course work?

The course consists of a theoretical part, which lasts two days, and a practical part. In the theoretical part participants gain the basic and specific knowledge needed to work as a welder. In the practical part instructors work with each participant individually and adapt the exercises to their level of experience and the client’s needs. The length of the practical part depends on the candidate and their previous knowledge.

We run welding courses in line with IIW, EWF and DVS guidelines and ISO education standards, using flexible European principles.

Who runs the welding courses?

We are the only welding school in Slovenia approved by the national ANB (Slovenian Welding Society, SDVT). In 2019 we became the first appointed centre in the region for this activity. The courses take place in our own welding shops in Ljubljana and Maribor.

Can I obtain a welder certificate after the course?

Yes. After the course you can go through certification and obtain an international welder certificate. Certification takes place in the welding shops of the Institute in Ljubljana or Maribor, and on request at the client’s site. More on the page Welder certification.
