When is an NDT certificate revoked?
The certification body must revoke a certificate if there is a significant interruption in the method for which the person is certified, if the person fails recertification, or if the employer provides verifiable evidence that the person is no longer able to perform their duties. A certificate is temporarily suspended, for example, if the person does not submit the annual vision certificate or because of conduct that does not comply with the ethical rules. After revocation the person must stop using the certificate and the advertising material that refers to it.
What if my certificate has been revoked?
To regain certification after revocation due to an interruption or a failed recertification, the candidate must meet all the conditions as for the first certification. Details are in the certification scheme on the page NDT personnel certification.
