The Welding Institute has been involved in certification for more than 60 years. We certify personnel (mainly welders and NDT personnel), products and processes. Certification is carried out by VARcert, an independent and autonomous organisational unit of the Institute.

Certificates are issued by the certification body VARcert on the basis of approved certification schemes. For welding coordinators it operates under the IIW Personnel Certification Scheme with ANB Slovenia, and for pressure equipment as EU notified body NB 2042.
