IWE, IWT, IWS by distance learning

We deliver the IWE, IWT and IWS specialisations by distance learning, with e-learning and practical exercises in Ljubljana and Maribor. The programme has four modules and is delivered in English.

Why a welding coordinator?

Today it is almost inconceivable that anything is built or manufactured by welding without the important role of a welding coordinator (welding engineer, technologist or specialist). The tasks of these people are defined in EN ISO 14731 and are the basis for quality in welding production under EN ISO 3834 and for welding steel structures under EN 1090. Welding is present in beams, profiles, steel structures, working machines, furnaces, tanks, pressure vessels, lifts, vehicles, railway wagons, ships and aircraft. According to the Institute, Slovenia has the most graduated welding coordinators in Europe relative to its population.
